Jared Isaacman is involved in many decisions at NASA. Isaacman is the 15th administrator for the company.
Isaacman oversees flight research, science, and co-founded an aviation training company. He has worked relentlessly to put NASA in a position to succeed. He has worked side by side with many employees and team members. He’s looking for ways to make NASA better every day.
“This is the most rewarding work I’ve ever done in my life,” Isaacman said. “My career started at 16 when I built my first company, which is Shift 4.”
Isaacman always admired NASA. NASA’s history inspired him, and he’s very grateful and lucky to work for this institution. Isaacman has received support from the government, such as the President of the United States. Back in the 60s, the NASA Authorization Act of 1965 was five pages long. Today, the act is 155 pages.
One of the things Isaacman wants to do is follow the same formula NASA used back in the 60s. Where success happened, that’s where he wants to keep it going. He shared details about Artemis and putting teams in place, like an engineering team.
“I put engineering strike teams across every one of the major what we call our ignition priorities, which are basically all the priorities outlined in the national space policy to achieve,” Isaacman said.
Rockets cost a lot of money. 75 percent of NASA’s workforce was rented essentially from staffing agencies.
“We are changing things like the original requirements like NASA we forgot our formula for success and started jumpin gright to the dream state on things the suits we were building decades to replace our prior generation essentially Apollo era suits,” Issacman said.
According to the administrator, it cost $200 million to do 12 lunar landings. Issacman has spent time and spoken with senators and congressional leaders.
“Everybody loves NASA,” Isaacman said. “Everybody understands whats at stake with this space race right now.”
