Executive producer Cindy Holland has been in the entertainment industry for almost 20 years. Holland has decided to leave Paramount before the merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.
The decision may leave her colleagues in disbelief. Many people in the industry have concerns about the merger. Holland is a respectable executive. Wherever she worked, the company improved because of her leadership and strategic thinking.
Holland has experience working with big companies, including Netflix. Holland spent 16 years at the streaming giant, where she served as vice president for Original Content. She and her team launched some of the best movies, shows, and documentaries on the platform.
David Ellison, CEO of Paramount Skydance, recruited Holland because of her impressive work and reputation at Netflix. Ellison valued what she brought to the team. Holland sent a memo to the Paramount team announcing her departure. It’s a gloomy week for Paramount. They lost someone who provided so much value.
In the last 13 months, Paramount Plus subscription numbers went up under her leadership. Holland was the Senior Advisor at Skydance. The company made history with hit shows such as Landman, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter.
The series has drawn some controversy. However, the series got picked up for a third season back in December 2025.
Landman shattered viewership records, and Season 2 elevated its success for Paramount. Taylor Sheridan is the showrunner, producer, and writer. It’s interesting to bring a Hollywood storyline to Texas.
Holland is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in political science. Holland’s experience in e-commerce business helped her become the tenacious worker that she is today. Her next endeavors will be even bigger because her resume keeps getting stronger.
