Uber is buying catering company ezCater for $2.3 billion.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is a fan of the product. He understands that catering is a big business and will help Uber thrive. When Dara sees an opportunity, he will take full advantage.

The catering company got started in 2007. EzCater has done well for itself. Over time, the company generated over $2.5 billion in gross bookings. Their mission to deliver timely products and services helped them earn significant revenue.

With this acquisition, both companies will achieve much more success. Uber already faces competition from Lyft, DoorDash, and other companies. Uber is successful in food delivery, and securing a catering company like ezCater will further strengthen its dominance.

Momentum is critical in business. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving drive business success. Dara fits all of those qualities. There are reasons he’s been such a strong leader at Uber for many years.

CEO Nihad Rahman will continue to oversee its operations. Rahman and Dara will work together to make this a long-term partnership. EzCater is a product of Boston. That’s where the company got started. The company has more than 140,000 restaurants across the United States.

It’s a big week for both companies, and this news has been one of the top trending business stories. Uber has been a reliable company for many years.

Without Uber, many people would struggle to get home, get into trouble while traveling, and more. Uber has solved many problems. That’s what being an entrepreneur is all about: solving problems for customers and making their lives better.

Uber’s competitors are watching this transaction and will want to make adjustments to keep up. Business is business. There are businesses with ruthless leaders. It’s going to be an interesting journey with Uber and EzCater.
