Franklin Graham travels worldwide to share the word of God. Last week, he was in Manchester, where many people attended.
Graham stopped by the Hangout with Sean Hannity podcast for a deep, insightful interview about his personal journey and his relationship with Faith and God.
Graham is deeply rooted in the Bible, and he learned that from his father, Billy Graham. The Graham family are true believers in Christ. They love the Creator and always preach and encourage people to be born again and give their lives to Chris. Graham will be traveling to many more countries to spread the word of God.
“I’ll be in Hanoi in January,” Graham said. “We’re going to be down in Caracas, Venezuela. We’ll be in Santiago, Chile early next year. I give about 10 percent of my time to evangelistic preaching, and I feel God has called me to preach, but I can’t be Billy Graham. I don’t try to copy his format. It’s the same message. I want people to know that God loves them. God cares for them. Jesus Christ is God’s son. He came to this earth to take our sin. He didn’t come to condemn us; he came to save us.”
Many people don’t want to change their way of thinking. Religion doesn’t save a person. Faith saves a person. If a person truly believes in Jesus Christ, then they will see the miracles in their life. Not every day will be beautiful. There will be spiritual battles and tough times.
Graham is completely different from when he was in his youth. At one point, he got expelled not once, but twice from two schools. Believing in the lord and giving his life to Christ changed his life forever. Now, he preaches and serves as president of the Billy Graham Association.
“At that time, I didn’t want God in my life,” Graham said. “I didn’t want God running my life. I want to be in charge. I want to be in the driver’s seat.”
Graham felt empty and miserable. No matter who he would hang out with or go on dates with, he would wake up the next day feeling hopeless and unhappy. It all changed when, one night, he got on his knees and spoke to the Lord. Graham surrendered and asked God to fix the broken pieces and put them together.
