Actress Evangeline Lilly has done what many actors dream of doing. Lilly has appeared in some of the best movies and television shows.

Lilly became known for the hit ABC drama series, Lost, which ran from 2004 through 2010. Lost is a well-written series. The show became critically acclaimed. After Lost, she starred in the film series Ant-Man and The Hobbit.

Despite all the success she had in Lilly, it wasn’t enough to make her happy. Lilly retired from acting in 2020, but the public didn’t know until 2024, and others recently learned about her retirement after her interview with CBN News. Lilly feels that she’s put on earth to serve a better purpose. She wants to make the world better.

In this incredible interview, she shared a profound testimony, her experiences in Hollywood, and what she wants to do with her life right now.

“Before I became an actress, I was studying political science and international relations in uniiversity and with the idea of becoming a humanitarian or a missionary or a diplomat or an ambassador because I wanted to make the world a better place,” Lilly said.

Lilly did have some fears about leaving Hollywood. At 26, she set goals for herself about what she wanted to accomplish. Lilly achieved her goals. Leaving everything she built wasn’t easy, but now she’s at peace and has bigger things to focus on. Lilly cherishes humanitarian work and takes it as seriously as her acting roles.

“I’ve done 22 years of hands-on humanitarian work in Rwanda,” Lilly said. “I want to write about meaningful things. I want to work directly with people in the space of healing and wholeness and spiritual awakening. I love working with people with spiritual gifts.”

Lilly wants to be on the quiet side. She revealed that she always hated being famous.

“Being famous is the cost of the wealth that you can get as an actor,” Lilly said. “God has a plan for my life. That plan doesnt necessarily need to it doesnt have to be about fame and money and wealth and power.”
